Diemaster commissions Mars series machines from Haitian
IN A SLICK transaction in January, Diemaster Industries of Kya Sand commissioned two impressive Haitian ‘Mars’ series injection moulding machines. A moulder of an array of technical products, Diemaster is transitioning to an expanded toolroom and greater focus on tool production.
That alone says something as the company is in its 51st year of operation and not too many businesses change at such a stage, but the effect was that Marco Prieschl of Diemaster needed the machines urgently. A call to Pierre Jurgens of Cabletech, which operates from nearby Kyalami, resulted in the matter being rapidly resolved.
The MA 2000-V and MA 900-V servo-hydraulic energy saving machines were delivered and commissioned just days later.
The Mars series machines run from 600kN to a whopping 33,000 kN clamp force, with the machines at Diemaster being at the lower end of that scale but nevertheless versatile and, most importantly, offering enhanced energy-saving capability. The biggest area where this is achieved is with the electrical charging and use of high-response servo motors. The machines also feature a large UI (user interface) screen panel that allows for enhanced control.
An important feature of this is that plasticising speed is increased with a servo drive motor as standard on all 5 series machines up to an injection volume of 10600. The new electric pre-moulding not only improves the plasticizing speed and quality but also improves the energy efficiency of the whole machine. Haitian continues to be committed to the field of servo drive and control systems. The result: efficient and energy-saving, high performance, quiet and stable operation.
