Propak West Africa
10 years of Propak West Africa
The largest exhibition for the packaging, plastics, food processing, labelling and print industries in West Africa turns 10! September 2023 will see Propak West Africa notch up its much anticipated tenth edition of the exhibition to record numbers and a renewed focus on the environment.
From its launch in 2012, with 40 exhibitors and 800 visitors, Propak has grown year on year to what it has become today and in that time welcomed nearly 1 000 exhibitors and 25 000 visitors to the exhibition floor.
This years exhibition will see more than 200 exhibitors and 5 000 visitors through it’s doors between the 12-14 September at the Landmark Centre, Lagos, Nigeria.
The expansion and reach of the exhibition has evolved in unison with the markets it serves, with 2022 marking Nigeria’s continued growth across the manufacturing sectors by claiming the number one position as Africa’s largest importer of plastics technology and second spot for food and packaging technologies. These figures combined with the expected growth of the packaging industry of 7.1% CAGR by 2028 and the forecast that the population will double in size by 2050 and the opportunity for the manufacturing sectors are clear.
Following on from a very strong rebook at the 2022 exhibition where 71% of the exhibition floorspace was sold with Afra Technical Concept, BOBST Africa, Percoso Nigera, SBA Nigeria and TetraPak West Africa all confirming their stands along with many others the remaining space is filling up fast.
Propak will once again bring together the elite of the packaging, plastics, processing and printing sectors who are looking to upgrade or strengthen their supply chains and factories. Whether it’s the Managing Director from Poly Products Nigeria, Production Manager from Nestle, Packaging Specialist from Dangote or the Entrepreneur behind the latest digital print start up, Propak’s reputation ensures that they will attend to seek out the newest products and services on the market.
