Introducing the revolutionary Cycliq E-Pallet: A sustainable innovation for the modern supply chain

CYCLIQ has unveiled its latest groundbreaking E-Pallet, a modular, eco-friendly solution designed to redefine pallet use across various logistics applications. This locally manufactured innovation offers a significant evolution from traditional wooden and plastic pallets, with a focus on environmental sustainability, economic efficiency, and enhanced performance.

The E-Pallet is the result of a four-year collaboration between Cycliq and Tetra Pak, that incorporates an advanced, proprietary blend of HD plastic and poly-alu material, together with plastic impact modifiers to maximise strength and load-bearing capacity. The poly-alu component is produced from recycled long-life beverage cartons, materials that would typically end up in landfills. By repurposing these materials, CYCLIQ contributes to a more sustainable future by reducing environmental waste.

In partnership with Gayatri Paper Mills, part of the Golden Era Group, Cycliq processes this recycled polymer, ensuring that the E-Pallet not only delivers superior performance but also contributes to the circular economy. With an optional six PET straps, made from recycled beverage bottles, the E-Pallet offers enhanced strength for static, dynamic, and racking applications. The straps are secured using a winch system, inspired by the technology used to tighten yacht sails, further increasing the pallet’s durability.

Key features of the E-Pallet:

  • Standard Size: 1 m x 1.2 m (additional sizes to be introduced)
  • 4-Way fork entry: Facilitates easier handling in all logistics environments
  • Stackable design: Ensures minimal deflection when loaded
  • Skid-resistant: Equipped with non-slip grommets to reduce load slippage and prevent damage
  • Versatile configurations: Can be adapted for use as a “three runners” pallet
  • Sustainable: 100% recyclable, from cradle to grave
  • Smart Integration: RFID or Wi-Fi tracking devices can be embedded for advanced logistical tracking
  • Nesting for containment of the product on the pallet.

Additionally, the virgin E-Pallet option is available for cold chain applications, designed to perform in extreme temperatures ranging from -30°C to +30°C, making it ideal for industries with strict temperature control requirements.

Marketed by Regenerated Polymers, a Level 2 BEE company, the E-Pallet exemplifies innovation with a sustainable mission. It stands as a testament to Cycliq’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of environmentally conscious manufacturing while delivering superior logistics solutions.
