Altek expands materials and additives supply across South Africa
CAPE Town-based Altek Industrial Chemicals is accelerating its growth in South Africa, expanding its reach across the plastics, rubber, coatings and adhesives sectors. As a subsidiary of Altek International FZE, headquartered in Dubai, the company draws strength from its parent’s global presence and deep industry expertise to provide high-quality material supply and logistics solutions nationwide.
Altek International FZE operates in 25 countries spanning the Middle East, Asia, Europe, the Americas and Africa, with regional offices and service centres in 18 countries. The group services over 2,000 customers globally and owns eight manufacturing plants, cementing its reputation as a trusted and capable global supplier.
Strategic diversification and supply chain excellence
Altek’s wide-ranging portfolio of speciality materials provides a key strategic advantage. Local leadership with a national footprint
Altek South Africa began as a small home office initiative in Cape Town, led by Yusuf Allie, who introduced the company to the local market. As demand increased, the operation grew into a full-service office handling import logistics, warehousing, and nationwide distribution. Allie now serves as managing director of Altek Industrial Chemicals South Africa.
To strengthen its reach, Altek has appointed agents in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal and now operates warehouse facilities across the country, enabling improved responsiveness and service to non-indent customers in the manufacturing sector.
